Remix 3: The Batgirl Killer: Pretty Evil One of the most genius individuals Q has ever come across also happens to be a cold-blooded murderer. This is such an amazing story because you witness how despite how smart and organized a person may be – evil is evil. That was the story of Michelle Cummiskey, the Batgirl Killer. Investigating Detective John Cabrera walks us through the crime, his investigation, the needle in a haystack way in which she was caught, and his impressions of her. This is a powerful true crime story as Cabrera shares investigative details that have never been released to the public until now. We chart the tragic course of a young girl’s life on the run. Drugs, parties, and men were her focus and her resource. Until, at only 19, she planned the brutal murder of a man who simply believed she cared for him when she only had eyes for his red Mercedes 450SL…

Remix 4: Human monsters do exist. We talk about Charles Manson or Golden State Killer but Gerald and Charlene Gallego were monsters that we think only exist in fiction. Today Ret. Sacramento Detective John Cabrera returns to talk about the one killer that made him physically sick. Gerald and Charlene Gallego had at least 10 victims who were kidnapped, tortured, and assaulted before being brutally murdered. Gerald, a hardened criminal and son of a murderer, and Charlene, the cute girl next door from an upper-middle-class family. They became a couple that could only have been made in hell when they met. A couple that for two years had Northern California paralyzed with fear as young girls were abducted from the local shopping malls John takes us into the backstory of the killers and their victims, step by step of the timeline and how dedicated detectives before today’s technological advances built a case and caught these sociopaths.

Juan Corona: The Machete Murderer w/Det. John Cabrera

Juan Corona: The Machete Murderer w/Det. John Cabrera

Our audience’s favorite guest, Detective John Cabrera, returns to the Quintana Show! Today we cover another forgotten serial killer: Juan Corona. In 1971, a year that saw Patty Hearst, the Charles Manson trials, and the Zodiac Killer, the deadliest killer in US history was in the sleepy river burg of Marysville California. Juan Corona killed at least 25 down-on-their-luck drifters in the course of a couple of months before being caught. But this forgotten story is more complicated than it seems, with multiple trials, a mysterious brother, cries of racism, and a defense attorney more interested in a book deal than his client, it’s a case for the ages. But after sifting through the plethora of evidence – even a retired homicide detective thinks the case is a little weak.
